Smudges

Sorry for the rubbish photo, right after i took this i banged my hand against a wall and smudged them. Graceful i know. One of my many charms.

I love this design. I think the blue and purple against the white really go well for the spring, you could try darker shades for winter and maybe even go yellowish for summer, or is that too daring? I'm thinking yellow and orange but i think they might look a bit too much like an abstract chicken for comfort. Maybe even try tiger print. Who knows. Trial and error. You can do the strips anyway you like, the leopard print in any direction and it still works.

Hope you are enjoying the weather as much as i am. Although I've been wearing shorts and summer dresses everyday for about 3 weeks, refusing to accept it wasn't as sunny as i wished it was. oh, not shorts and summer dresses together, on separate occasions.

What are friends for?

I would like to point out that the flash on my camera has ruined all these photos. I am not an idiot. If I missed big chunks of colour out of one of the sections, I would fill it in. If you look at the top picture, you can see that the squares are fully intact. Now if we are all happy with that, lets move on.

This is something that Wah does, I am obsessed with them, and my friend asked me to try. im not going to lie, as I was doing it, it looked awful. that was until I put the black lines on when it started to look lovely. Well, she thought so anyway.

This is probably the most technically difficult thing I've tried, but also the most impressive. I'm a bit annoyed it doesn't look that good in the photos, in real life it looked a lot better. I haven't really got my head round taking photos of other peoples hands. Its a bit creepy asking to begin with. when I take them of my own, I just take about a hundred and chose the best. I don't think my friends would really be up for an hour photo-shoot of their hands.

leopards in a strawberry field... apparently.

These are some nails I did on my friend Laura today. they are a mix of leopard print and strawberry print. I deeply considered doing the leopard print in green and pink to stay with theme, but decided I would stick to the plain pink. Standard.

She loves them, or at least she claimed to love them, for all I know she is at home scrubbing with the nail varnish remover as we speak.

I have realised the doubled ended sword doing other peoples nails. on the plus side - you don't have to change hands so in general both hands look better - on the down side - if they look shit, you cant take it off and pretend it never happened. both you and that person are aware of the hideous nails you created from that point on.
